The U.S. Friends of the Hague Conference Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, incorporated in Washington, D.C., that supports the work of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
The primary purpose of the Foundation is to support the work of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (“HCCH”) in unification of the rules of private international law (i.e., conflict of laws rules), in order to aid individuals–including children–and companies whose lives or activities face disputes having cross-border aspects or differing legal systems. To this end, the Foundation supports the HCCH in the creation and implementation of comprehensive tools for dispute resolution in areas such as the international protection of children, family and property relations, international civil procedure and international commercial and finance law.
